Latest update: 17/Jan/2026

The Townley PFA is currently organising our 11+ familiarisation sessions. At the moment, no dates have been agreed.

We'll publish the final information here. Please, check again soon.

No events at the moment

Tickets are non-refundable and can't be changed. Please, make sure you buy the tickets you want.

The Townley PFA is making sure all children (boys and girls!) interested in taking Bexley's Selection Test get a chance to experience what the real exam is like. Bexley's Selection Test is required to opt for a place in Townley Grammar School (as well as in many other selective schools in the borough).

As a charity, we are working with industry leaders to offer several 11+ mock exam sessions at competitive prices, ensuring that all children have the opportunity to gain this valuable exam experience. Our partner produces and marks the mock papers that your child will sit.

While your child sits the test, our partner will host a free Parent Information Session on ‘How to Prepare for the Bexley Test’, covering:

  • How to support your child’s preparation

  • How to identify their areas for improvement

  • Key information on the transition to Year 7

These informative sessions will start 15 minutes after each test and will last for 45 minutes, with additional time for any questions at the end. Please, make sure you plan for this session. They provide an excellent opportunity to speak with 11+ experts and ask questions about your child's 11+ preparation.

If most parents choose not to join the sessions we might lose the opportunity to host these events at such a great price in the future.

Your child’s results will be sent by our partner directly to you via email usually within a few hours.

You will receive a report detailing your child’s performance and where they place within

the cohort. Similar to the real test, results will include your child's standardised age scores (SAS) for each paper and their overall weighted scores.

It is important to understand that even though Townley PFA and our partner do their best to provide an experience  as similar as possible to the real exam, your child's score in this exam is not a guarantee of a similar result in the Bexley Selection Test. In particular, it will not be considered as supporting evidence in an admissions appeal to Townley Grammar School.

Important: we are a team of volunteers and we don't have the resources to manage too many inquiries or change requests. Please, make sure you buy the tickets you want as we are unable to alter your tickets once bought or issue refunds. Treat your purchase with the same care you would when buying a non-refundable ticket to a theatre function.

Finally, as we are hosting up to 162 children for each session, we need volunteers to run this challenging event. If you are a Townley employee, student, parent of a student at Townley or a friend member of our association, please consider volunteering. You can find more details in our page for volunteers.
